“Teamwork, compassion and loyalty to patient care.” This is how April Puratich, Medical Assistant to Dr. John Blair describes Puget Sound Orthopaedics. Little does April know… that’s how PSO would describe her! April has been working in our Tacoma clinic with Dr. Blair for 6 years and is an invaluable part of the PSO team. Just ask her Supervisor, Natasha McColm. According to Natasha, April works hard to embody the PSO mission statement: “She strives to provide each patient with a true HEART of PSO experience.” At Puget Sound Orthopaedics, HEART stands for: Honesty, Empathy, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork. April comes to work each day ready to serve patients and support her coworkers while upholding these important PSO values. Dr. Blair also proudly recognizes April’s hard work: “She’s very organized and dedicated to my patients’ health care. [She] spends a lot of time getting to know patients and handling issues on the phone [and] keeps my surgical schedule optimal.”
Outwardly, April is very quiet. She keeps her head down and always works hard. But if you can get her cornered in her workstation, she has the most infectious laugh! She brings joy to PSO and we are thankful for her dedicated service to our patients and physicians.
When April isn’t working hard in clinic or scheduling surgeries for Dr. Blair, she’s enjoying time at home raising her 15 year old son.
Thank you for your hard work, April!
